Workrock collects information to provide a better experience for all our users. This includes:
- Personal Information: Name, email address, and company details provided during sign-up.
- Workspace Data: Any content, projects, or staff details you upload to your Workrock account.
- Log & Usage Data: We automatically collect information about your device, browser, and how you interact with our platform (IP address, timestamps, etc.).
- Cookies: We use cookies to keep you logged in and understand your preferences. You can control cookie settings in your browser.
2. Data Ownership & Privacy
Your data belongs to you. We act as a "Data Processor" for the business information you store on Workrock. We do not sell your personal or business data to third parties. We only access your account data to provide technical support or when legally required.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect for the following reasons:
- To maintain and improve the functionality of the Workrock platform.
- To communicate important updates, security alerts, and billing information.
- To prevent fraudulent activity and protect the security of all our users.
- To personalize your experience within the application.
4. Sharing with Sub-Processors
We may share your data with trusted third-party services that help us operate our business (e.g., AWS for hosting, Stripe for payments, and Postmark for emails). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and are not allowed to use it for their own marketing purposes.
5. Data Security
We take data security seriously. We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for data in transit and at rest. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you choose to close your account, you can request a full export of your data or its permanent deletion from our servers. Backup data may be retained for a limited period for disaster recovery purposes.
7. Your Rights & Compliance
We aim to comply with major data protection regulations (like GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act). You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time through your account dashboard.
